Between June 2nd and 5th, the invitees were welcomed by host Hugo Gloss, blogger and digital influencer, whom introduced the group to the city´s most famous touristic attractions, such as the Sugar Loaf, as well to activities dear to the local inhabitants (called cariocas), such as enjoying a cold beer by Urca district sea front. The travellers were also presented to PayPal´s services, both to end consumers and business owners.

Seeking to capitalize on the attention over Rio de Janeiro due to the 2016´s Olympic games, with the objective of raising the brand´s profile in the Brazilian market, and specially in the tourism segment, we´ve created to PayPal an activation program engaging 18 digital influencers from 11 countries. Invited to visit Rio, and have all travelling expenses paid through PayPal, the celebrities – tourism and fashion bloggers and social media influencers from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, India, Japan, Mexico and USA - voluntarily adhered to the proposal.
